Beautifully Detailed DSP meets Forever Blossoms

Welcome to my haven in a hectic world, hope you're having a great day!
This is the first of two cards today!

Happy Birthday Judy x

As you can see from the layout of this post I made this card quite some time ago. This is a darker card than I usually do, but I really like it, as it makes a nice change. I love blackberry bliss as a colour but don't use it often enough.

Card Stock: Blackberry Bliss 21 x 14.4 scored at 10.5 (card base), Mint Macaron 9 x x 2.5 (leaves), Petal Pink 9 x 3 (flowers), silver Foil 9 x 8 (sentiment).
Laser-cut Speciality Paper 12.7 x 8.8 (background).

All measurements are in centimetres.
(cs) = card stock, (ef) = embossing folder, (lc sp) = laser cut specialty paper,  (r) = retired, (ss) = stamp set.

Emboss the front of the card base using the stone (ef).
From the beautifully detailed (lc sp) pick the background and cut down to size.
Adhere the (lc sp) to the card base using a sponge and liquid glue.
With the forever blossoms (ss), stamp 3 flowers in blackberry bliss onto the petal pink (cs).
Die cut the following:
The sentiment using the (r) happy birthday die
one of the flowers using the cherry blossom dies
one of the medium and large leaves using the cherry blossom dies (these can all be cut at the same time.
Now repeat the process again for the next flower and set of leaves (you should now have 8 leaves).
Then one more time for the last flower.
Adhere the happy birthday sentiment using liquid glue to the card base.
Attach the flowers using glue dot.
Adhere the leaves using liquid glue.
Colour 3 basic rhinestones with the blackberry bliss stampin' blends and attach to each of the flowers.

Thanks for dropping by, will be back again soon with more cards

A Good Man and more

Hello and welcome to my haven in a hectic world!
Thank you for joining me today!

My friend Donna came over yesterday and firstly we went for a beautiful ploughman's lunch at a local cafe, which is situated in what used to be our local library. I must admit, we could eat out every day of the week in a different establishment without going to the same place twice. What's even better is we'd never walk further than 5 minutes away from home. When we got back she wanted to make a card for her son and after looking on Pinterest she decided on this one. Once the card was finished she was very happy with what she'd created.
It was then a cup of camomile tea and my darling hubby took her home.

Materials required for this card are:

Card stock: *blueberry bushel, whisper white
Ink: gray granite, memento black, night of navy, seaside spray
Stampin' blends: balmy blue, ivory, petal pink, *pineapple punch, poppy parade, night of navy
Stamp sets: a good man, *perennial birthday, *varied vases, well said
Accessories: Stamparatus
* = retired

Hope you liked today's card. If you would like more information on how to make it, please don't hesitate to contact me, I'd love to hear from you.

If you wish to buy any of the items used, go to contacting me at the top of the page for details on how to order.
