Easter Card

Happy Easter Sheilah

Intermediate level - colour using blends, crop dies, die cutting, dry embossing, layering, stamping

This card was cased from Lynn Dunn at 'stamptasicdesigns.com'

Materials required for this card are:
 
bundles: gallery blooms
Card Stock: basic white
Designer Series Paper: thoughtful journey
Dies: *stitched rectangles (1 wide)
Embossing Folders: tasteful textiles 3D
Ink: smoky slate
Stampin' Blends: balmy blue, soft sea foam
Stamps: *a wish for everything
Accessories: bakers twine essentials, wink of stella
 * = no longer available, when using layering dies (1) is the smallest

Start with a basic card base 14.5 x 21 scored at 3.5, 10.5, white 10.5 x 3.5 (cross bar), 8 x 10 (flowers) 7 x 2.5 (sentiment), 3 x 14, 3 x 10 (cross embossed layers), dsp 6,5 x 14 (need 2), 4 x 14 
  1. dry emboss the 2 layers
  2. adhere the longer layer to the base card
  3. adhere the shorter layer to the cross bar layer using liquid glue then adhere to the base card
  4. adhere one of the wider dsp strips to the card behind the cross using liqiud glue
  5. open the card and now adhere the wider strip of dsp to the left side and the narrower strip to the right side
  6. stamp the flowers and sentiment
  7. colour the flowers using the blends, then when dry add a coat of wink of stella
  8. die cut the flowers and sentiment making sure the sentiment is towards the top  of the die
  9. now crop the sentiment by running it through a second time getting rid of most of the space below the sentiment
  10. attach the flowers using dimensional pad and adhere the sentiment using liquid glue
  11. make a bow and attach using a glue dot

Butterfly Gala meets Dandelion Wishes

 Hello and welcome to my haven in a hectic world!

Thanks for joining me today!

A card for my friend Donna who is currently unwell with Covid


Some more blending along with dry embossing and heat embossing. The dandelions were stamped with the craft ink and heat embossed in white ep, and the butterflies were stamped on vellum and embossed in clear ep.

Materials required for this card are:

Card Stock: *perennial essence vellum, very vanilla 
Embossing Folders: tasteful textiles 3D
Embossing Powder: clear, white
Ink: craft whisper white, magenta madness, petal pink. rococo rose, versamark
Punches: butterfly duet
Stamp Sets:  butterfly gala, dandelion wishes 
Accessories:  basic pearls, blending brushes

Family Party meets much more

Some of this card is made using retired products!!

Materials required for this card are:

Card Stock: *botanical garden vellum, gorgeous grape, *sparkle glimmer, whisper white
Dies: *large numbers, layering circles (7) & (negative 6s), word wishes
Embossing Folders: tasteful textiles
Embossing Powder: clear
Ink: bermuda bay, gorgous grape, melon mambo, versamark
Stamp Sets: family party, *number of years
Accessories: blending brushes
* = retired, when using layering dies (1) is the smallest

Used blending brushes on the Whisper white card stock using all 3 colours, before stamping and die cutting.
Made a W base for the card, with a 1½" circle punched out to place an LED tea light candle.
