Blast from the past Handsomely Suited meets Mini Alphabet

Intermediate level - die cutting, dry embossing, layering, stamping
Inspired by Julie Gilson - stampingala.com

Materials required for this card are:
 
Card Stock: basic white, misty moonlight
Designer Series Paper: *20/22 in colors
Dies: mini alphabet, *stitched nested labels (7,8)
Embossing Folders: exposed brick 3D
Ink: misty moonlight
Stamps: *handsomely suited
Accessories: *20/22 in color enamel dots, *nature tones linen thread
 * = no longer available, when using layering dies (1) is the smallest

Start with a misty moonlight basic card base 14.5 x 21 scored at 10.5, basic white 13 x 9, 12 x 6.5, dsp 14.5 x 10.5, misty moonlight 14 x 8 (need 2)
  1. adhere the dsp to the base card using liquid glue
  2. dry emboss the white layer and add some linen thread towards the bottom tying with a knot (I then frayed the ends of the the thread using a pokey tool)
  3. adhere this to the base card using liquid glue
  4. die cut the two stitched labels and the lettering
  5. stamp the heading on the white label then, layout the letters and adhere using liquid glue
  6. adhere this label to the blue label using liquid glue
  7. attach the blue label to the base card using dimensional pads
  8. add the enamel dots

Hats Off meets Biggest Wish

I love the hats off set and it will stay in my stash for some time I think. Put together with the biggest wish set it makes a great card for a youngster. The birthday comes from the well written dies which are no longer available but again I can't stop using them occasionally.

Embossing Folders: painted texture 3D
Ink: *misty moonlight

Celebrate with Flowers meets Potted Succulents

Bright and colourful this week and so easy to make, I decided to use this set for the saying. Only problem was the fussy cutting (i just hate doing that).

Senior Years, my first Retirement card!

 Thank you for joining me today!

Well it's getting to that time in my life when friends are starting to retire. I retired in 2012 but most of our friends were still working, but now in a matter of a week 2 have told us they're taking the plunge and enjoy the rest of their life!

Nigel is the first, he retires today, which just happens to be his birthday so there's two cards, one for each occasion.


It's another quick and easy card to make!
