Queen Anne's Lace meets Timeless Tulips

Thank you for joining me today!

Happy Birthday Donna

It's the first time I've used the mercury glass designer acetate and I found it quite hard to get it to fold, but was pleased with the finished result. I did some blending on basic white cs for the background then stamped the image on vellum and heat embossed. Both the cs and the vellum were die cut, then the vellum was cut down to just the plain frame and adhered with tiny dots of liquid glue. I think if I was to do this card again I would use a lighter colour for the label.

Materials required for this card are:

Card Stock: basic white, calypso coral
Designer Acetate: mercury glass
Dies: ornate layers, painted labels, *well written
Embossing Powder: white
Ink: calypso coral, Gorgeous grape, rich razzleberry versamark
Stamp Sets: queen anne's lace, timeless tulips
Accessories: basic pearls
* = no longer available, when using layering dies (1) is the smallest

Hope you liked today's card. If you would like more information on how to make it, please don't hesitate to contact me, I'd love to hear from you.

If you wish to buy any of the items used, go to contacting me at the top of the page for details on how to order.

Hugs from Shelli meets Watercolor Wishes

Hi, and welcome to my blog

Happy Birthday Judy!

It's taken me some time to get round to using the hugs from Shelli Paper Pumpkin kit, but now I've broken it open I'll enjoy making the cards up. It's so simple to do with all the pieces there for you, even down to the dimensional pads.

When you need something quickly these kits come into their own, everything in one place and straightforward to put together.

Only for this card I changed it up slightly by using a different stamp set for the sentiment and added some basic pearls.
To recreate this card follow the guide below.
 Ⓡ  = retired, (ss) = stamp set,

Ⓡ Hugs From Shelli Paper Pumpkin kit
 Ⓡ  Watercolor Wishes kit
Stampin' Blends: Pretty Peacock
Accessories: Basic Pearls

Start with one of the note card layouts, and stamp the 3 birds in the the top right hand corner (1 of the smaller wing span and 2 of the wider wing span) in Early Espresso.

Add a strip of the ribbon across the bottom using thin tear n tape.

Stamp the sentiment from the watercolor wishes (ss) onto one of the tags in early espresso and attach using the dimensional pads.

Using one of the little glue dots ( I just love these and wish they were in the Annual Catalogue) attach  the feather.

Make a small bow with the linen thread and attach this on top of the feather. Remove any stickiness from the glue dot (tap with an embossing buddy).

Add one of the small bird trinkets, again using one of the glue dots.

Using the pretty peacock dark blend, colour 3 basic pearls and adhere to the tag for added interest.

Stamp a bird onto the envelope (stamped off twice).

Job done!!

Will be back again soon with more cards
