Adventurous sky collection

Intermediate level - colouring with alcohol markers, die cutting, dry embossing, layering
Cased from Angie Leach 'too cool stamping'

Materials required for this card are:

Bundles: adventurous sky
Card Stock: night of navy
Designer Series Paper: take to the sky
Dies: *everyday details (4)
Embossing Folders: soft waves 3D
Ink: memento black, night of navy
Stampin' Blends: boho blue, gray granite, smoky slate
Accessories: *adhesive backed milky dots
 * = no longer available

Start with a base card 10.5 x 29 scored at 10.5, basic white 9 x 5, gray granite 9 x 9, 4 x 14.2, dsp 3.1 x 13.9, 7.5 x 10.1
  1. dry emboss the the righthand side of the base card front
  2. adhere the clouds dsp using liquid glue
  3. adhere the blue dsp to the gray granite strip using liquid glue
  4. adhere this to the base card using liquid glue
  5. stamp the plane in black
  6. colour the plane using the the blends
  7. die cut the plane and circle
  8. stamp the sentiment to the circle in night of navy
  9. attach the plane to the circle using dimensional pads
  10. adhere the circle to the base card using liquid glue
  11. add a milky dot to the nose of plane

Adventurous Sky Slider Card

Cased from a tube video my Rachael Merrick
Intermediate level - die cutting, layering, stamping

Materials required for this card are:

Bundles: adventurous sky
Card Stock: basic white, real red, silver foil
Designer Series Paper: take to the sky's
Dies: *layering circles (7), *banners (1)
Ink: boho blue, real read
punches: heartfelt hexagon
Stamps: *day to celebrate
Accessories: aqua painter
 * = no longer available, when using layering dies (1) is the smallest

Start with a base card 14.5 x 21 scored at 1, 5 & 15, white pieces 9.2 x 14,  2.54 x 6, 9 x 7.5, 2.5 x 5, dsp 9.6 x 14.1, silver 7.5 x 7.5
  1. with the white 9 x 7.5 stamp the plane and clouds, and add a little shading using an aqua painter
  2. on the  2.5 x 5 piece stamp the banner sentiment 
  3. die cut the plane, clouds and banner and foil circle
  4. adhere the dsp to the centre panel using liquid glue
  5. cut a slot of about 11cm, 2 thirds of the way down the central panel
  6. make a notch on the right hand side the punch, then close the card and make a corresponding one on the back side
  7. using the 9.2 x 14 piece stamp the internal sentiment and plane on the right hand side 
  8. score the 2.54 x 6 in half, and slot it into the slit on the left hand side
  9. adhere the circle to the half showing on the front using liquid glue
  10. flip it over and do the same with the internal sentiment (make sure the mechanism works)
  11. close the card up and adhere it down using the 1cm score mark for the liquid glue
  12. adhere the clouds using liquid glue
  13. attach the banner and plane with dimensional pads
I wanted my card to stand up so I cut a piece of real red cs 6 x 14.5 scored at 1cm,
then punched the notch and adhered it the back of the card.

Bundles: adventurous sky
Card Stock: basic white, copper clay
Designer Series Paper: take to the sky
Dies: everyday details (3)
Embossing Folders: so swirly
Ink: memento tuxedo black
Punches: happy labels
Stampin' Blends: balmy blue, copper clay grey granite, color lifter
Stamps: simply said
Accessories: 23.5 color dots
when using layering dies (1) is the smallest
  1. Start with a base card 14.5 x 21 scored at 10.5, white layer 14.5 x 10.5, copper layers 6 x 14.5, 5.5 x 10.5, dsp 5.5 x 14.5, 5 x 10.5, white for circle, sentiment & plane
  2. dry emboss the white layer using the folder, then adhere to the base card using liquid glue
  3. adhere the pieces of dsp to the copper backings using liquid glue, then adhere to the base card
  4. stamp the sentiment and plane, then colour the plane using the blends
  5. use the punch to crimp each end of the sentiment
  6. die cut the circle and plane
  7. dry emboss the circle
  8. attach these three elements using dimensional pads
  9. add the colour dots

Adventurous Sky bundle

Intermediate - colouring with alcohol blends, die cutting, dry embossing, layering, stamping

Materials required for this card are:

Bundles: adventurous sky
Card Stock: basic black, basic white
Designer Series Paper: take to the sky
Dies: deckled rectangles (6,7), happy little things, nested essentials (2)
Embossing Folders: *old world paper 3D
Ink: gray granite, misty moonlight
Stampin' Blends: gray granite, misty moonlight
Accessories: *gingham ribbon, industrial trinkets
 
* = no longer available, when using layering dies (1) is the smallest

  1. Start with a base card 17.5 x 25 scored at 12.5, first layer 11.5 x 16.5, dsp 11 x 16, black 9 x 13.5, dsp 8 x 11.5, white 10.5 x 5, white 9 x 5, white 7.5 x 1.5
  2. stamp the plane, the clouds and the sentiment (my sentiment was computer generated)
  3. colour the plane using the blends
  4. adhere the two background layers together using liquid, glue add the ribbon and then adhere to the base card using liquid glue
  5. die cut the rectangles, plane, sentiment and cloud background
  6. adhere the two rectangles to the base card using liquid glue
  7. attach the clouds, plane and sentiment using dimensional pads
  8.  add the trinkets

Used a card template for this one - die cutting, dry embossing, layering, stamping

Materials required for this card are:

Bundles: adventurous sky
Card Stock: basic white thick, night of navy, smoky slate
Designer Series Paper: take to the sky
Dies: deckled rectangles (3,4), mini alphabet
Embossing Folders: exposed brick 3D, painted texture 3D
Ink: night of navy, smoky slate (stamped off)
Accessories: neutral sequins
 
when using layering dies (1) is the smallest
  1. Start with a base card 14.5 x 21 scored at 10.5, first layer 14.1 x 10.1, dsp layer 13.7 x 9.7, card strips 2.5 x 13, dsp strips 2.1 x 12.6, night of navy off cut & basic white off cut for rectangles, letters, sentiment & plane
  2. dry emboss the dsp layer and adhere to the 1st layer
  3. adhere the first layer to the base card using liquid glue
  4. adhere the dsp strips to the card strips and then adhere these to the base card using liquid glue
  5. stamp some clouds on white card using the stamping off method
  6. stamp the sentiment and plane 
  7. add some adhesive sheet to the back of a piece of white card for the letters
  8. die cut all the elements
  9. dry emboss the white rectangle
  10. place the letters
  11. adhere the two rectangles together, then adhere to the base card using liquid glue
  12. attach the plane and sentiment using dimensional pads
  13. add the sequin

Intermediate Level: colour with alcohol ink, die cutting, dry embossing, layering, stamping 

Materials required for this card are:

Bundles: adventurous sky
Card Stock: basic white, night of navy
Designer Series Paper: take to the sky
Dies: deckled rectangles (8), everyday details circle (3), rectangle (1)
Embossing Folders: so swirly
Ink: memento tuxedo black, night of navy
Stampin' Blends: color lifter, copper clay, smoky slate
Accessories: neutrals sequins
 
When using layering dies (1) is the smallest
  1. Start with a base card 14.5 x 21 scored at 10.5, dsp 10.5 x 14, 2.5 x 9, basic white 5 x 8 sentiments, 3 x 5 plane, 7 x 7 circle
  2. die cut the large rectangle and adhere to the base card using liquid glue
  3. stamp the plane in memento black and both sentiments in night of navy
  4. die cut these along with the circle 
  5. dry emboss the circle
  6. colour the plane using the stampin' blends, then use the color lifter to remove some of the colour within the propeller area 
  7. adhere the small strip of dsp towards  the bottom of the base using liquid glue
  8. attach the HB sentiment to the top of the card using dimensional pads
  9. adhere the circle using liquid glue
  10. attach the plane and bottom sentiment using dimensional pads
  11. add the sequin
