Winter Woods meets Nature's Beauty

Well hello, and welcome to my haven in a hectic world, thanks for stopping by.

Happy Christmas Dad

I'm trying to use DSP more but find it difficult sometimes. and I also want to make sure I use all my stamp sets (don't tell hubby but I do have one or two I've never used). But I'm now trying to. The nature's beauty was one of them.

I wasn't so sure I liked it when it was finished, but the more I look at it the more I like it.

All measurements are in centimetres.

Card Stock: Cherry Cobbler 3 x 14.5 (band), Whisper White 21 x 14.5 scored at 10.5 (card base), 6 x 3 (sentiment), 9.5 x 5.5 (white trees), 7 x 9.5 (green trees).
DSP: 11 x 8.

(cs) = card stock, (dsp) = designer series paper,  (ef) = embossing folder, (ss) = stamp set), when using layering dies (1) is the smallest.
  • Stamp the fox from the nature's beauty (ss) in the bottom right corner of the whisper white card base (cs) in smoky slate ink.
  • Emboss the front of the whisper white card base (cs) using the subtle (ef)
  • Adhere the cherry cobbler (cs) band, 2.5cm down from the top of the card front using liquid glue.
  • Die cut the feels like frost (dsp) using the (6) stitched rectangle from the stitched so sweetly dies. Once die cut move the (dsp) up one scallop and die cut again (rectangle's one scallop shorter).
  • Attach the dsp to the card using dimensional pads.
  • Stamp the tree from the winter woods (ss) in shaded spruce ink, onto the whisper white green tree (cs), now die cut using the co-ordinating die from the in the woods dies.
  • With the whisper white, white tree (cs) and the in the woods dies die cut the other tree.
  • Bend back the open parts of the white tree and slot the green tree in. Adhere both trees to the (dsp) using liquid glue.
  • Add some red basic rhinestones to the green tree.
  • Stamp the sentiment from the winter woods (ss) onto the whisper white sentiment (cs) in cherry cobbler ink, then emboss using the subtle (ef), attach to the card using dimensional pads.
  • With a fine tip glue pen add some streaks to both trees and cover in stampin' glitter.
Will be back agin soon with more cards, enjoy the rest of your day!

Dashing Deer with Detailed Deer

Hi folks, hope your having a great day!

I think this is my favourite card so far, and what's more it came out of my head for a change!
Card base 13.5 x 27 scored at 13.5 with each layer being .5 smaller than the layer before.
Colours for this card are Night of Navy, Silver foil and Whisper White (thick)
When working with nested dies (1) is the smallest, (dsp) = designer paper (ef) = embossing folder, (r) = retired, (ss) = stamp set,

Adhere the first layer of (r) twinkle twinkle (dsp) directly onto the front of the card.
Emboss the second layer with the high seas (ef) then with the waves upside down glitter the edges of each wave using fine glue and stampin' glitter. Once dry adhere to the card base.
Stamp the sentiment from the dashing deer (ss) in night of navy and die cut using the label from the  merry christmas dies. At the same time die cut a narrow (2) stitched rectangle in silver foil.
With another piece of silver foil die cut the reindeer and 3 stars from the detailed deer dies.
Attach the deer using dimensional pads and the stars using liquid glue.
Colour in 4 basic rhinestones using the night of navy stampin' blends and adhere to the 3 stars, using the last one as the reindeer's eye.
Make a bow using the metallic edge ribbon and adhere to the deer's neck using a couple of glue dots.

Snowman Season meets Hand Lettered Prose

Hi folks, welcome to my haven in a hectic world.

This is my CASe of a card from Kelly Acheson, A Stamp Above.com  (just love her cards and video's).
I didn't have the embossing folder Kelly used, so used the (r) Cable Knit folder instead.

All measurements are in Inches.
Card base is 5½ x 8½ scorned at 4¼, pool party embossed mat is 5⅜ x 4, black mat is 4 x 3, white mat is 4½ x 3¼.
Colours for this card are basic black, gray granite, pool party.
(cs) = card stock, (ef) = embossing folder, (r) = retired, (ss) = stamp set.

First emboss the the pool party (cs) mat using the cable knit (ef).
Stamp the snowman from the snowman season (ss) using memento tuxedo black ink and colour the scarf using pool party and the rocks using gray granite blends, then stamp the snow flakes in pool party ink.
Using a fine glue add a few streaks across the bottom and cover with stampin' glitter, this grounds the snowman. Adhere to the black mat using liquid glue.
Add the polka dot tulle ribbon down the left side of the embossed mat tying off with a knot, then attach to the card  base using dimensional pads. Then attach the snowman scene again using dimensional pads.
Oops, forgot to colour the snowman's nose before photographing, so don't forget to use pumpkin pie for his nose or one of the nose's from the let it snow embellishment kit. (which is what i used).

Will be back again soon with more cards
