Magnolia Moods Bundle monochrome style

Intermediate level - blending with brush, die cutting, dry embossing, heat embossing, layering, stamping

Materials required for this card are:

Bundles: magnolia mood bundle
Card Stock: basic white, coastal cabana 
Embossing Folders: basics 3D
Embossing Powder: white
Ink: coastal cabana, versaMark
Accessories: blending brush, *playing with patterns combo ribbon & resin dots

  1. Start with a base card 14.5 x 21 scored at 10.5, basic white layer 10.1 x 14.1, coastal cabana scrap for sentiment
  2. use the blending brush to lay some colour down on the white layer, then dry emboss using the folder
  3. tie a knot in the ribbon and attach to the bottom right corner using tape on the back
  4. adhere this layer to the base card using liquid glue
  5. stamp the flower and die cut it
  6. stamp the sentiment, heat emboss it and trim it down 
  7. attach the flower and sentiment to the card using dimensional pads
  8. add the dots

Peaceful Moments meets Bough punch and more

This is the one for the girls, and the 4th one of 5 in the Carolyn King marathon that I'm Casing at the moment.

Materials required for this card are:

Card Stock: basic black, basic white, galvanised paper
Designer Series Paper: *all together
Dies: *painted labels
Embossing Folders: basic 3D 
Ink: memento black
Punches: bough, *medium daisy
Stamp Sets: *peaceful moments
Accessories: *playing with patterns resin dots

  1. Start with a base card 14.5 x 21 scored at 10.5, background 14 x 10, background for dsp 12 x 8, dsp 3 pieces 2 @ 4 x 7 & 1 @ 5 x 8
  2. dry emboss the background using the basic 3D dots folder and adhere to base card using liquid glue
  3. adhere the 3 dsp pieces to the dsp background piece using liquid glue then adhere to the card
  4. stamp the sentiment and die cut
  5. punch 6 flowers and 2 boughs in each colour
  6. layer and adhere the petals to make 3 flowers using liquid glue
  7. attach the sentiment using dimensional pads
  8. attach the 2 flowers off the sentiment using dimensional pads
  9. adhere the 3rd flower using liquid glue
  10. arrange the leaves and adhere using liquid glue
  11. add the resin dots

Pretty Perennials final days!!

 Thank you for joining me today!

Thought I'd get out my watercolor pencils for a change and this is what I came up with, one that's bright, fun and funky! Need to practice more with the watercoloring.


There won't be many more of these cards as Sue and her family are moving soon 😞

Materials required for this card are:

Card Stock: basic white
Designer Series Paper: hand penned
Dies: floral gallery, scalloped contours (3)
Embossing Powder: white
Ink: memento tuxedo black, versamark
Ribbon: *mint macaron sheer
Stamp Sets: pretty perennials
Watercolor Pencils: bermuda bay, crushed curry, fairy flamingo, granny apple green, real red

Accessories: note cards, playing with patterns resin dots, water painters
* = no longer available, when using layering dies (1) is the smallest
