A Little Lace meets Easy Events

Hello and welcome to my craft haven,

Todays card is a quicky, as I needed to make it and give it out today! (well yesterday really).

My eldest Granddaughter got engaged a few weeks ago in Spain, but decided to have party yesterday.

Her engagement card went out a few weeks ago but you can't turn up to a party with nothing in your hand can you?

So here's the one I made to take with us, with just a little something inside. It's new and a blast from the past, but I thought it was quite cute!
The card is quite simple and only 4 pieces, note card, scrap of Whisper White, scrap of Seaside Spray and some flax ribbon.

Colours for this card are cherry cobbler, old olive, seaside spray.
(cs) = card stock, (ef) = embossing folder, (r) = retired, (ss) = stamp set.
When using layering dies (1) is the smallest.

Along the bottom in the middle of card front stamp the sentiment from the a little lace (ss) I used cherry cobbler for this.
Emboss the front of the note card using the subtle folder, then emboss again across the middle using the non flowery petal pair folder.
Stamp the image from the easy events (ss) in memento black ink, on white (cs) and colour using seaside spray, old olive and cherry cobbler stampin' blends'. Now die cut using the layering ovals (2), at the same time cut a seaside spray scalloped (2) oval.
Cut a strip of flax ribbon and adhere to the card front.
Adhere the two ovals together and attach to the card front using dimensional pads.
Adhere 3 hearts from the (r) metallic enamel shapes.

This card took me about 15 minutes to make, once I decided what I was going to do, and that took a bit longer.

Will be back again soon with more cards.

Lilypad Lake meets Perennial Birthday

Hello everyone, and welcome to my blog

Happy Birthday Rob & Jack

Perennial Birthday seems to be my go to stamp set for the word birthday at the moment. Especially for male cards, I just love the font and size.

These two cards are the same except for the Enjoy sentiment, I couldn't decide which one to use so did one of each. I'm veering towards the red on white, which do you prefer?
It's quite an easy card to make (I don't do hard cards) ha ha!!

To recreate this card follow the guide below:
® = retired, (sab) = Sale-A-Bration, (H) = Hostess, (nsu) = not stampin’ up, (ss) = Stamp set, (DSP) = designer series paper, (CS) = Card Stock, with layered dies number 1 is the always the smallest.

All measurements are in centimetres

Card Stock: Night of Navy: 21 x 14.5 scored at 10.5 (card base)
Whisper White: 4 pieces, 14.3 x 10 (first layer), 4.5 x 3.5 (yachts only), 5.5 x 2 (sentiment), 6.5 x 6.5 (full scene)
Crushed Curry: 7 x 7
Silver Foil: 4 x 4
DSP: Come Sail Away 14.3 x 6
Ribbon: Flax 14.3
Embossing Folders: Subtle
Dies: Layering Circles, Lakeside, Smooth Sailing,  Stitched Shapes
Stamp Sets: Bella & Friends ®, Lilypad Lake, Perennial Birthday, Sailing Home
Stampin' Blends: Poppy Parade
Stampin' Pads: Balmy Blue, Crushed Curry, Night of Navy, Poppy Parade

Stamp the happy birthday in the top left corner of the Whisper White layer in Night of Navy.
Adhere the DSP about 0.5 from the bottom of the same layer using liquid glue.
Add the ribbon at the top of the DSP (half on half off), and adhere using tear n tape.
On the square of Whisper White,  stamp the waves at the bottom, then the yachts (don't worry about the overlay) and lastly the sun towards the top (make sure it's not too high up).
On the smallest piece of Whisper White stamp the Enjoy sentiment in Poppy Parade.
On the last piece of Whisper White stamp the yachts again, in Night of Navy and colour in the sails using the blends.
Place all items to be die cut on your plate together. Silver Ships WheelCrushed Curry scalloped circle No:6, yacht scene Stitched Shapes circle No: 3, banner, separate group of yachts.
Adhere the yacht scene to the scalloped circle using liquid glue then attach to the base card using dimensional pads.
Overlay the yachts using dimensional pads.
Adhere the banner to the Helm using liquid glue and attach to the base card using dimensional pads.
Will be back again soon with more cards!!
