Nature's Symphony meets Banner Sayings



Welcome to my blog

Happy Birthday Gareth

Intermediate level - die cutting, layering, punching out, second generation stamping, stamping

Materials required for this card are:
 
Bundles: nature's symphony
Card Stock: basic beige, shaded spruce
Designer Series Paper: *garden poetry
Ink: shaded spruce
Punches: three banner
Stamps: banner sayings
Accessories: 26/28 in color dots, linen thread
 * = no longer available

Start with a basic card base 14 x 21 scored at 10.5, basic beige 3.5 x 8, shaded spruce 13.5 x 10, dsp 13 x 9.5, 1.5 x 7
  1. randomly stamp the leaves onto the dsp layer using second generation (stamp off once before stamping the dsp)
  2. stamp the first sentiment in the top left corner of the dsp
  3. from the green layer die cut the leaves (making sure not to go too near the edge)
  4. die cut the wood plank
  5. stamp the happy birthday, then make the banner using the punch
  6. adhere the dsp to the green layer using liquid glue
  7. adhere the leaves to the dsp using liquid glue
  8. adhere this piece to the base card using liquid glue
  9. wind some linen thread and attach to the card using stampin' seal tape
  10. attach the wood plank using dimensional pads
  11. adhere the sentiment, using liquid glue
  12. add the dots

Banner Sayings meets Artistic Dies

Intermediate level - bow making, die cutting, dry embossing, layering, stamping
I took inspiration from a card on Pinterest (sorry can't remember who)

Materials required for this card are:
 
Bundles: banner sayings
Card Stock: basic white pretty in pink
Designer Series Paper: in color 2024/6
Dies: *artistic, stylish shapes (4-6)
Embossing Folders: birch wood 3D
Ink: pretty in pink
Stampin' Blends: pretty in pink
Accessories: adhesive sheets, bakers twine essentials, *party dots
 * = no longer available, when using layering dies (1) is the smallest

Start with a basic card base 14.5 x 21 scored at 10.5, white 14.1 x 10.1, 6.5 x 6.5, off cut for sentiment, pink 14 x 7, 7.5 x 7.5, dsp 8.5.x .8.5
  1. put adhesive sheeting on the back of the pink 14 x 7 piece
  2. die cut the 3 circles, and the leaves
  3. dry emboss the white layer and small circle
  4. adhere the white layer to the base card using liquid glue
  5. adhere the 3 circles together using liquid glue, then cut in half
  6. attach each half circle to the card using dimensional pads
  7. remove the backing from the leaves and adhere to the top of the circles
  8. cut some bakers twine for a bow and colour it using the alcohol blends and let it dry
  9. make a bow
  10. stamp the sentiment, use the punch to shape it
  11. Attach the sentiment using dimensional pads
  12. add the dots
  13. adhere the bow using glue dots

Materials required for this card are:
 
Bundles: banner sayings bundle, charming day
Card Stock: basic white. coastal cabana
Designer Series Paper: *hello irresistible 
Embossing Folders: birch wood 3D, *subtle 3D
Embossing Powder: white
Ink: coastal cabana, versaMark
Punches: three banner
Accessories: bakers twine essentials, *milky dots
 * = no longer available

Start with a basic card base 14.5 x 21 scored at 10.5, dsp 10.5 x 14.5, leaves 10.5 x 5.5, flowers 10.5 x 6.5, white band 2 x 14.5, sentiment 7 x 2
  1. stamp the flowers 
  2. die cut the flowers and leaves 
  3. dry emboss the flowers, leaves and dsp layer using the Subtle 3D folder
  4. dry emboss the white band using the birch wood 3D folder
  5. stamp the sentiment in versaMark, add the embossing powder and heat 
  6. cut out the sentiment, using the three banner punch
  7. adhere the white band to the dsp layer using liquid glue
  8. adhere dsp layer to the base card using liquid glue
  9. adhere the leaves using liquid glue and the flowers using dimensional pads
  10. create a figure 8 loop of twine and adhere to the back of the sentiment using tear & tape
  11. attach the sentiment to the card using dimensional pads
  12. adhere the milky dots
