Designer Paper Birthday Card

Happy Birthday Anne

Intermediate level - die cutting, dry embosisng, layering, stamping

Materials required for this card are:

 

Card Stock: basic white, balmy blue, secret sea

Designer Series Paper: true blue florals

Dies: *basic borders, spotlight on nature (3), stylish shapes (3)

Embossing Folders: *subtle 3D 

Ink: secret sea 

Stamps: *framed florets

Accessories: *rainbow dots, borders open weave ribbon

 * = no longer available, when using layering dies (1) is the smallest

Start with a backing card 14.5 x 10.5, dsp 14 x 26.5, basic white 6 x 6, balmy blue 14 x 3.5, secret sea 6 x 6, 2.5 x 15

1. score the designer paper at 10 and 20, and fold into a Z, narrower piece at the front
2. die cut the dark blue border along the one edge then turn and die cut a second time to make the diamonds
3. emboss the light blue strip
4. line up the light blue strip against the dsp and adhere the diamonds down the join using liquid glue
5. adhere the dsp to the backing card using liquid glue
6. stamp the sentiment
7. die cut the 2 circles
8. attach the sentiment to blue circle using dimensional pads
9. adhere the blue circle to the base card using liquid glue
10. make a bow and attach it to the card using a glue dot
11. add the dots

Petal Park meets Everyday Greetings

Intermediate level - die cutting dry embossing, layering, punching out, stamping

Materials required for this card are:

 

Card Stock: basic white, balmy blue, petal pink

Designer Series Paper: *regency park

Dies: *basic borders

Embossing Folders: beautiful pattern 3D

Ink: balmy blue, petal pink

Punches: modern oval, *petal park

Stampin' Markers: *balmy blue

Stamps: *everyday greetings, *petal park

Accessories: drusy embellishments

Start with a basic card base 10.5 x 29 scored at 14.5, white 14 x 10, 6.5 x 5 oval, blue 5 x 2 (2 leaves), petal pink 15 x 1.5 border,  6.5 x 8 petals, dsp 8.5 x 10

1. dry emboss the white layer using the 3D folder
2. die cut the border
3. mark the bottom edge of the dsp at 5.5, then cut down from the top right corner to the mark
4. align the border to the dsp and adhere using liquid glue, then cut off the excess pieces 
5. adhere the dsp to the embossed layer using liquid glue
6. adhere this layer to the base card using liquid glue 
7. stamp the label, petals and leaves, then punch them out
8. add a border round  the label using the marker
9. attach the label using dimensional pads
10. attach the petals and leaves using glue dots
11. add the gems to the petals

Go to greetings meets Flight & Airy DSP

Quick and Easy, die cutting, dry embossing, dying ribbon, layering, stamping  

Materials required for this card are:

Card Stock: basic white, flirty flamingo

Designer Series Paper: flight & airy

Dies: basic borders , nested essentials (2)

Embossing Folders: *subtle 3D

Ink: flirty flamingo

Stamps: go to greetings

Stampin' Blends: flirty flamingo

Accessories: basic rhinestones, glittered organdy ribbon

(I used non SU base from old stash)

 

* = no longer available, when using layering dies (1) is the smallest

1. Start with a base card 25 x 12.5 scored at 12.5, coloured matt 11.5 x 11.5, white scrap 5.5 x 11, dsp 7 x 11
2. die cut the white scrap placing the die across the top, then emboss it using the folder
3. die cut the dsp piece with the die across the bottom
4. line up the two pieces and tape together
5. cut either the top or bottom down if needed to make the 11cm square
6. adhere the top layer to the coloured layer using liquid glue
7. cut a 14cm piece of ribbon and dye it using the stampin' blend
8. wrap the ribbon round the two layers and attach using tape
9. die cut the rectangle shape and stamp the sentiment, (I used a stamp positioning tool for this)
10. attach the sentiment using dimensional pads
11. add some rhinestones to the full flowers only
