Forever Blossoms meets loads of Dies

This is a mixture of old and new products, that came together in the making, when I came across the vellum piece of trellis work.

The materials required for this card are:

Card Stock: basic white, silver foil, vellum

Dies: forever flourishing, hydrangea, *rose trellis, stitched so sweetly (3)

Embossing Folders: pretty flowers

Embossing Powder: silver

Ink: soft sea foam, versamark

Ribbon: metallic mesh

Stamp Sets: forever blossoms, *teeny tiny sentiments

Accessories: blending brush

Fun, passing a driving test!

Congrats!! to our Granddaughter Ashleigh on passing her driving test

It's a real mixture of old and new giving it a bright and fun feeling. She's bought herself  a silver car so that's why I went for the smoky slate and silver.

Materials required for this card are:

Card Stock: basic white, smoky slate

Dies: *garage gears

Embossing Folders: painted texture 3D

Embossing Powder: silver

Ink: evening evergreen, fresh freesia, gray granite, pale papaya, polished pink, soft succulent, versamark 

Stamp Sets:  a good kid, * beautiful world, *geared up garage, *gorgeous grunge, hippo happiness 

The "you passed, the" were computer generated in soft succulent (#88A99D)

Chicken Wire meets Beautiful Bouquet

Hello and welcome to my haven in a hectic world.

This is my second post for today.

Happy Birthday Margaret!

This card was made last year and I lost it so had to make her another one, then found it later so put it away for this year. so the blog post for it has been transferred from my old blog Annettes Crafty Stampin, so the layout is a lot different to how I write now.

To recreate this card follow the guide below:

® = retired, (sab) = Sale-A-Bration, (H) = Hostess, (nsu) = not stampin’ up, (ss) = Stamp set, DSP = designer series paper, CS = Card Stock

Start with a base card of Thick Whisper White (cs) measuring 15 x 21cm scored at 10.5cm

For the first layer use a backing of Watercolor Wonder ® DSP measuring 15 x 10.5  and then adhere the Chicken Wire ® on top. (this creates the first mat).

Using Silver Foil backed with some adhesive sheeting die cut the Friend from the Lovely Words ® thinlits and at the same time using an off cut of Thick Whisper White die cut the middle sized label frame from the Stitched Seasons ® framelits, towards the bottom left corner of the label stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Beautiful Bouquet (ss) in Balmy Blue and then run the label through the big shot using the Subtle embossing folder.

Next using the Beautiful Bouquet (ss) stamp the flowers you want to have in various colours leaving room around each flower for die cutting them out. (I used Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Grapefruit Grove and Highland Heather).

Next stamp the string or paper type stamp from the same set in VesaMark and heat embossed in Silver embossing powder.

Now it's time for the die cutting, using an off cut of Granny Apple Green measuring at least 11.5 x 8 cm cut the stems and some leaves from the Bouquet Bunch framelits, die cut as many of the flowers as you can fit on the plate at the same time. Then die cut the rest of the flowers and string.

Adhere the stems to the label and  then using a combination of liquid glue and dimensional pads arrange the flowers and leaves. 

Wrap some Organdy ribbon around the string shape and create a bow and adhere it.

Finally adhere the friend to the bottom of the label and add to the card using dimensional pads.

Itty Bitty Christmas meets Feels Like Frost

Hi all, welcome to my haven in a hectic world.

This is a CASe from Kelly Acheson, and it's much easier to do than it looks.

I'm still not very good at finding my own inspiration so rely on my blogger friends.

I really liked the look of these cards, so much so that I made 3 one for each of my children. And that's me now finished for this years Christmas cards. Yeah!!!

Over the next few days I'll be sharing some of the seasonal cards I've made for this year.

All measurements are in centimetres.
When using nesting dies (1) is the smallest size.
Card base 21 x 14.85 scored at 10.5, feels like frost (dsp) 8.5 x 14.85 and 2 pieces 8 x 7 for the snowflakes, silver foil 1 x 14.85 (need 2 strips),
Colours for this card are Night of Navy and Silver.
(cs) = card stock, (dsp) = designer series paper, (ep) = embossing powder, (ss) = stamp set.

First adhere the silver foil strips down each side of the card leaving a .5 edge using liquid glue.
Using the night of navy stampin' blend dark colour 2 small basic rhinestones and put to one side to dry.
With the larger feels like frost (dsp) piece, and using the stitched rectangle dies cut out an opening with about a 2cm border at the top and sides using the (2) rectangle.
Die cut the snowflakes using the christmas layers dies. you need 2 of the snowflake clusters and 1 each of the two smallest snowflakes.
Adhere the 2 snowflake clusters to the back of the open rectangle in the (dsp) mat around the edges.
Now adhere this to the card base with a .5 border on each side showing the silver foil.
On a scrap piece of night of navy (cs) stamp the sentiment from the itty bitty christmas (ss) using versamark and heat emboss with the silver (ep).
Die cut using the (1) narrow stitched rectangle.
Adhere the two snow flakes to the front of the card and add the coloured basic rhinestones.
Attach the sentiment across the opening using dimensional pads.
