Free As A Bird meets Charming Cafe

Hello and welcome to my haven in a hectic world. thanks for stopping by!

Sue's card for week 9, it's a blast from the past and hopefully the last time I will use the charming cafe & cafe builder dies as I now want to sell them to make room for new stuff>
Measurements are in centimetres.

(cs) = card stock, (dsp) = designer series paper, (ef) = embossing folder, (r) = retired, when using layering dies (1) is the smallest.

  • Start with a card base of crisp cantaloupe (cs) 21 x 14.8 scored at 10.5.
  • Die cut a circle using the layering circle dies (8) and shimmery white (cs) 8.5 x 8.5
  • Stamp the window from the charming cafe (ss) in gray granite ink in the middle of the circle.
  • Colour the awning using crisp cantaloupe and basic gray markers and the frames in smoky slate, then lightly sponge the bottom part of the circle  in mint macaron ink and the top part in sahara sand.
  • Stamp the table and chairs on shimmery white (cs) 7 x 4 in gray granite ink, then colour using the markers again and lightly sponge the bottom in mint macaron.
  • Die cut the table and chairs using the cafe builder dies.
  • Stamp the garland of flowers on shimmery white (cs) 8 x 9.5 in gray granite and colour using the markers, (r) crisp cantaloupe and flirty flamingo for the flowers, old olive for the leaves and (r) rose red for the berries.
  • Die cut the garland using the cafe builder dies (cut the outer edge first then the inner edge).
  • Using a piece of the (r) 13/15 in color (dsp) stack 10 x 14.3, die cut the outer garland about a third of the way up.
  • Emboss the dsp using the tufted 3D (ef) and add some of the (r) crisp cantaloupe ruffled stretch trim across the bottom.
  • Adhere the circle to the base card using liquid glue making sure it's in the right position.
  • Attach the table and chairs in front of the window using dimensional pads.
  • Adhere the flower garland to the front of the (dsp) panel using liquid glue making sure all sides line up.
  • Attach this layer to the front of the card using dimensional pads.
  • Stamp the hello from the free as a bird (ss) on a scrap of shimmer white (cs) in gray granite, then die cut using smallest banner from the (r)  bunch of banners dies.
Will be back again soon with more cards, and enjoy the rest of your day.
