The ribbon technique came from Terri Ganes.
Intermediate level - die cutting, dry embossing, layering. paper ribbon technique , stamping, two step stamping
Materials required for this card are:
Card Stock: basic white, fresh freesia, pecan pie
Designer Series Paper: *flight & airy
Dies: textured notes (4)
Embossing Folders: beautiful patterns 3D, *subtle 3D
Ink: bubble bath, fresh freesia, soft sea foam
* = no longer available, when using layering dies (1) is the smallest
Start with a basic card base 14.5 x 21 scored at 10.5, white 14.5 x 10.5, 14 x 4.5, 11 x 6, 11.5 x 5, 10 x 5, pecan pie 12.5 x 4.5, fresh freesia 10 x 5, 2 x 9.5, dsp 2 strips of each colour 1 x 30
- emboss the 14.5 x 10.5 piece using the beautiful patterns 3D folder and adhere to the base card using liquid glue
- taking the white piece 14 x 4.5 score lines every 2cm across the long length and put to one side
- Using the 11 x 6 die cut the rectangle and emboss using the subtle 3D folder
- use the 11 x 5 to carry out the 2 step stamping of the flowers and 1 step for the leaves (3 needed) then die cut the pieces
- add adhesive sheeting to the back of the 10 x 5 piece then die cut the thin wishing die
- add adhesive sheeting to the back of the fresh freesia 10 x 5 piece then die cut the wider wishing die
- add adhesive sheeting to the back of the pecan pie 12.5 x 4.5 piece then die cut the branches
- stamp the sentiment using the fresh freesia 9.5 x 2 and die cut
- cut the stripes of dsp to 5.5 long and adhere to the scored card using stampin' seal' in a diagonal fashion using the scored lines as guide
- adhere this piece to the base card about 1cm in from the left edge using liquid glue
- cut down the branches to fit the rectangle, remvoe the backing from the branches and adhere to the rectangle
- attach the rectangle to the base card using a combination of dimensional pads on the right side and liquid glue on the left side
- remove the backing from the white wishing and layer onto the pink one
- now remove the backing from the pink wishes and adhere to the base card
- arrange the flowers and leaves then adhere using liquid glue
- attach the sentiment using dimensional pads
