Friend Like You meets See A Silhouette DSP

Hello and welcome to my haven in a hectic world, it's nice of you to drop by.

Week 11 for Sue's cards, her daughter says she's loving them.
Although this is quite a dark card, I like it's simplicity.

Measurements are in centimetres
(cb) = card base, (cs) = card stock, (dsp) = designer series paper,  (ep) = embossing powder, (r) = retired, (ss) = stamp set, when using layering dies (1) is the smallest.
  • Start with a (cb) of whisper white (cs) 21 x 14.5 scored at 10.5.
  • The next layer is night of navy 13.9 x 9.9, adhere this to the (cb) using liquid glue.
  • Cut a piece of  'see a silhouette' (dsp) 13.3 x 9.3 for 2nd layer and stamp the dragon flies from the 'friend like you' (ss) in versamark, then heat emboss using white (ep). Then adhere to (cb) using liquid glue.
  • Stamp the sentiment from the 'friend like you' (ss) in night of navy onto a scrap of whisper white (cs) then die cut it using the 'stitched shapes' circle (1), at  the same time using a piece of rich razzleberry (cs) die cut a scalloped edge (2) circle from the 'layering circles' dies.
  • Adhere the sentiment onto the scalloped circle using liquid glue then attach to the (cb) using dimensional pads.
  • Using a piece of whisper white (cs) 16 x6.5 die cut the flowers from the 'friendly silhouettes' dies.
  • Adhere this piece across the bottom of the card using liquid glue and trim off the side edges.
Will be back again soon with more cards, enjoy the rest of your day.

Blast from the past!

Hi, welcome to my haven in a hectic world, hope you're having a good day!

This is a card and money holder all in one.

As the title say's it's a blast from the past as there's only the Happy Birthday sentiment that is still current. But it could easily be made using current colours and papers.
All measurements are in centimetres.

Card Stock: Dapper Denim 12 x 6 (starbursts), Very Vanilla 10.5 x 29.2 scored at 14.8 and 22.2 (card base), 12 x 6 (circles).
DSP: 10 x 14.2 (back panel), 10 x 6.5 (middle panel), 10 x 6.8 (front panel).

(cs) = card stock, (dsp) = designer series paper, (ef) = embossing folder, (nsu) = non stampin' up, (r) = retired.
  • Fold and burnish all the score lines on very vanilla card base (cs).  Fold the first panel of the card base in towards the centre of the card and adhere the (r) Eastern Palace (dsp) middle panel using liquid glue, then with the 1½" circle punch, punch out a lip. Adhere the bottom and side of this panel down using narrow tear & tape. You now have a pocket to place a gift card or money.
  • Emboss the (r) Eastern Palace (dsp) back panel using the subtle (ef).
  • Adhere the (r) Eastern Palace (dsp) front panel using liquid glue.
  • With the dapper denim starburst (cs) punch out 2 starbursts using the starburst punch.
  • Adhere one of the startbursts to the front panel using liquid glue.
  • Position the (r) Eastern Palace (dsp) back panel and decide where to attach the (r) very vanilla bakers twine using glue dots or sellotape.
  • Once bakers twine is attached, adhere to the back panel of the card base.
  • Adhere the second starburst to the back panel directly behind the first one using liquid glue.
  • Using the very vanilla circles (cs) stamp the happy birthday from the bonanza buddies (ss) in Fresh Fig ink and punch out using the 2" circle punch. With the rest of this piece of (cs) stamp a greeting of your choice and again punch out with the 2" circle punch (my insert was computer generated), and the son-in-law is (nsu).
  • Adhere these two circles to the starbursts using liquid glue.
  • I added a  (r) designer silver basics button to the bakers twine tying with a bow and securing with a glue dot.
Will be back again soon with more cards, thanks for dropping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Hi, welcome to my haven in a hectic world, hope you're having a good day!

I can't believe it's week 8 of the pandemic lockdown here in the UK.

At least I'm getting plenty of crafting done, also trying to tidy up my haven, but that's a slow process.

My Meadow meets Pressed Petals

Hi folks, hope you're having a great day, and welcome to my haven in a hectic world.

Happy Birthday Idwin!
After creating this card, I looked to see what type of stamps were used and was surprised to read that I should have loaded the ink then spritzed with water before stamping, I liked the finish I got but will try the spritzing next time and let you know if I like it better.

All measurements are in centimetres.

(cs) = card stock, (dsp) = designer series paper, (ss) = stamp set, layered dies start with (1) being the smallest.

Whisper White 21 x 14.8 scored at 10.5 (card base), 7.5 x 2.5 (sentiment), 11 x 8 (scene).
DSP 14.8 x 8.
Ink colours are balmy blue, early espresso, gray granite, mossy meadow, old olive, pool party, rococo rose, seaside spray, soft suede.

  • With the scene whisper white (cs) stamp the images from the my meadow (ss) using colours similar to above.
  • Die cut the scene using the (6) scalloped die from the stitched so sweetly dies.
  • With the sentiment whisper white (cs) stamp the sentiment using early espresso ink, then trim around the sentiment to make it a close fit.
  • Place the scene on the pressed petals (dsp) and mark where you want the linen thread to be wound round, Now remove the scene and wind the linen thread securing it at the back. I used sellotape for this, then tied a knot around the pieces at the front with a smaller piece of linen thread.
  • Emboss 2.5 cm of the bottom edge of the card base using the subtle (ef).
  • Adhere the pressed petals (dsp) to the top of the card base using liquid glue.
  • Add a strip of braided linen thread across the bottom edge of the pressed petals (dsp) I used narrow tear & tape for this.
  • Attach both the sentiment and the scene using dimensional pads.
Will be back again soon with more cards for you.
Thanks for stopping by
