Scrpty 3D meets Stitched Be Mine

Hello and welcome to my blog!

Happy Anniversary to Mike & Heather

I always like to use paper for the first Anniversary cards I make as it's symbolic. So here's what I came up with.
To recreate this card follow the guide below:

All measurements are in centimetres
(cs) = card stock, (nsu) = non stampin' up ⓡ = retired

Card Stock: Very Vanilla 2 pieces 21 x 14.8 scored at 10.5 (card base), 9.9 x 14.2 (second layer)
Rococo Rose 2 pieces 6.5 x 6 (outer heart), 2.5 x 2.5 (number & st)
DSP: ⓡ Falling in Love 10.5 x 14.8 (first layer)
Accessories: Metallics sequin assortment, Sponge Daubers

  • Adhere the falling in love (dsp) to the card base.
  • Create the heart aperture using the very vanilla second layer (cs) and the smallest scalloped edge heart from the stitched be mine dies, where you want it. Now emboss this layer using the scripty 3D folder, then use a sponge dauber to lightly sponge this layer using rococo rose before adhering it to the card base.
  • With the rococo rose (cs) die cut the heart using the same die from the stitched be mine dies along with the number and st  from whichever set you have.
  • My sentiment was computer generated (on a mac) using a text box measuring 5 x 3, the Snell Roundhead font size 22 and the hex code for rococo rose is DD929B and printed on very vanilla (cs) then die cut using the same stitched be mine heart.
  • Using liquid glue adhere the outer heart  to the card where you want it and the number & st in the middle of the scripty aperture.
  • Now attach the inner heart using dimensional pads, then add some of the sequins with mini glue dots.
  • And that's it folks!

Hope you liked the card and would love to hear your comments.

Back again soon with more cards
